Here is page five, just under the wire. I think this page might have ended up being a little too busy. Hopefully it's coherent enough. The story is getting a lot more complex than at the beginning so its taking some extra effort to get all the information I need into the pages. Defiantly a learning process.

Anyway thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment and tell me what you think.

Acutally, it's kind of refreshing to see more than three panels to a page. Speaks of somebody who really wants to tell a story instead of looking for every shortcut possible.

Eight panels isnt bad, following them isn't tough. I know I've mentioned this before, but to me it's just the black panel borders that kind of muddy up the flow. As always, that's just my observation. And I know you're aware of them.

I think you mentioned that some of these pages were done a while ago? Correct me if I'm wrong.

The drawing of this page is kinda old, I had to rush to finish the colors today haha. Do you think the lines are still too thick on this page? I actually did thin them out on this one, but are they still too thick?

It's not the thickness so much as the fact they are black instead of having traditional white gutters. Maybe it's because I grew up with that exclusively in comics. The problem I perceive is that they don't seperate the panels as well, and the black panel borders appear at times to blend into the inking itself. I feel it slows down the flow of the sequential art experience.

For fewer panels, the black borders are not as bad. But I am traditionalist and pragmatic when it comes page layout, I always put legibility and panel flow over any kind of aesthetic experimentation. To me, the white traditional gutters are the most efficient in that regard.

I just feel that the black borders aren't wrong, just not the most effective. And if that's the worst problem, I think you're doing pretty good.

That is not something I had thought of. I just thought to make them thinner. I will have to look into that for future pages. I really appreciate you taking the time to give me some help.

Unless they have some very fast casting artillery-class spells, there probably isn't anything in the castles armory that will permanently damage Syn.

Well...lets just say the Magistrate does his homework and would be well prepared for her.
