Well I am almost late to work so I can't say much. You don't really think about how difficult the action scenes are to do until you actually try to do one. I am mostly happy with how this one turned out. I hope you enjoy it and I welcome your comments.

Now quiet is an entirely different matter...

Ah our heroes are so well mannered waiting silently for their turn and all.

I'm fairly sure our mechanical friend is loading combat software and feeding into it all the details of her undead friends defeat.

Then, ignoring the combat plan she will just punch the green lady really, really hard. ;p

So our green assassin did her homework, bad sign for her targets. And I agree with zelna, why are the other two just sitting there? Is she that fast? Seems unlikely considering Syn. But that assassin is going to get a rude surprise when she tries to shank Syn.

Well the idea was that this whole page happens in a matter of seconds. That is why he never gets a punch in himself. So pretty much by the time the two ladies turn around it has already happened. It actually surprised me how difficult doing these action scenes really are as far as expressing what is happening well and efficiently.

It's all that talking. She's talking for six panels. An entire page, plus the last panel of the previous page! And the others already noticed that something was up right before that panel. So yeah, it does come across as if they're standing there for 19 seconds, too stunned to interfere.

But hey, I don't really have a problem with that. They could have their reasons. Dheryc is dead anyway, so there's no rush, is there? Might as well prepare for the assassin to come for them.

Indeed, the temporal flow in comics can be quite tricky to make clear to the reader. Action scenes are also a pain, trying to get the dynamics of movement, expressing the tension, anger, and such. Expressing it efficiently takes a lot of practice and thought, I've seen plenty of professionals who did so-so jobs in that regard. The only suggestion I can make off the top of my head regarding capturing the entire action scene would be that maybe a panel showing Syn and that other women looking behind them and looking surprised.

So the answer to my question from the previous page seems to be that she doesn't see herself to be in any particular danger, and doesn't see a scenario where her quarry might escape. It'll be interesting to see how her behavior changes up when Syn injects herself into the situation.

Yeah Kermit, you pretty much hit it on the head. Everyone in Rogue Programming world thinks they are a really big deal until proven otherwise.
